AXAVIA as industry partner of the new LIT Open Innovation Center

On June 5, the opening of the new LIT Open Innovation Center with the associated LIT Factory took place at Johannes Kepler University in Linz. The pilot project acts as an interface between research and business and is intended to significantly advance the digital transformation. In addition to AXAVIA, the project is supported by other companies such as Borealis, Greiner, Engel and Siemens.

Opening of the LIT Open Innovation Center

Recently, there was a big celebration at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. The LIT Open Innovation Center with the associated Industry 4.0 pilot factory, the LIT Factory, was opened. Numerous visitors enjoyed the colorful supporting program including various bands and exotic snacks from food trucks. Together they let the visions of the future rise into the sky. Since the opening of the pilot project, research is now being carried out on topics such as Artifical Intelligence, Robot Intelligence, IT Security, Information Electronics and Industry 4.0.

Networking of science, industry and business

The pilot project of the LIT Open Innovation Center aims to make Johannes Kepler University one of the most modern universities in Europe. By uniting science, industry and business, a unique interface and exchange opportunity is created through the LIT Open Innovation Center and the LIT Factory. The main concern of all cooperation partners is to further advance modern technologies. Based on concrete smart products and processes, potentials and technologies of digitalization are to be researched, developed and demonstrated. In addition to AXAVIA as an industrial partner, companies such as Borealis, Covestro, Engel, Erema, FACC, Greiner, Leistritz and Siemens are participating.
